What is Air Pollution?

What's that weird smell?

Air pollution is different air particles that can be very harmful to your body and the environment if it reaches a dangerous concentration. Some of the common air pollutants we see today are pollen, smoke, mold and carbon dioxide. â€‹

Air pollution can kill many people a year. Last year, it was estimated that over 4 million premature deaths occurred because of poor air quality (National Geographic). That's a lot of lives!! Air quality is so important for humans because its the only way we can breathe. Without good air quality, it makes it harder for us to live our lives normally and comfortably. Many breathing-related medical problems like asthma and lung diseases are related to being caused by air pollution.

We use our cars, airplanes, trains and many more other modes of transportation regularly, which contributes to poor air quality around the globe. This creates carbon dioxide, which is one of the more common greenhouse gases. They hurt the air quality so intensely, it would take years to clean just a little bit of damage we have done.
